To do list

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
This entry isn't going to be of much interest to anyone; I just feel the need to write out everything that has to be done in the next three weeks:

  • Create "guest book" (hopefully my idea will be as awesome in practice as it is in my head)
  • Create programs
  • Finalize ceremony
  • Write vows
  • Get tux for Billy (currently planning on doing that tomorrow, but may be pushed to Thursday if Billy is still sick)
  • Buy ties for the guys
  • Buy shawls for the girls
  • Figure out who needs corsages/boutonnieres
  • (Perhaps most important) Catch up with the last two weeks of Battlestar...and last week's Lost
  • Get my Banana Republic work schedule changed so I can start at the new job
  • Buy plane tickets
  • Ask parents for more money to facilitate all of this buying stuff.
  • Figure out makeup for the day
  • Set up hair appointments
  • Find out how long the photographer thinks pictures will take, so I know the right time to do the hair appointments.
  • Continue making calls to people for RSVPs

I think that's it...I could be completely wrong, however.

I haven't slept well for days. Three of the last four nights I've had some wedding nightmare or other. I rarely used to have nightmares - now they're a regular occurrence. Combine them with Billy being sick and coughing/tossing and turning all night, and I haven't been getting any rest. Oh, and all of a sudden I have four zits on my face. It's been ages since I've had more than one at a time.

I can't wait until this is all finished...

WTF Subconscious?!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I've had three wedding-related dreams this week. Two last night! Although last night's two were almost the exact same thing both times...but I think I still get to count them individually. 'Cause really, who has repeat dreams like that?

Last night's dream I, once again, didn't have everything finished the day of the wedding. As in, while I was on my way to changing into my dress, I realized that I hadn't written my vows yet. WTF? And there was related craziness.

Then I woke up for a little bit when Billy came to bed, and when I fell back asleep...I STILL hadn't written my vows. But it was actually only the rehearsal dinner? So why the hell was I all done up in my dress? I mean, Billy's going to see me in my dress before the wedding, but not the night before!

My grandmother needs to send me the last batch of addresses so I can just MAIL these friggin' save the date cards. Maybe once they are gone I can relax again and stop going crazy?

Yay, Oscars!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I know it's looking doubtful that there will even be an Oscar ceremony this year, but I can't help but get excited when the nominees are announced. I am a huge film nerd.

Which is weird, because I never even end up seeing a majority of the nominees.

I'm really weird about movies. I haven't seen a lot in comparison with other people. But the ones I have seen I am obsessive about. And so I get excited about the Oscars, despite not having seen (for example) a single one of the best picture nominees this year.

But anyways. Johnny Depp was nominated for Sweeney Todd (up against George Clooney, Daniel Day-Lewis who everyone is ga-ga over, Tommy Lee Jones and Viggo Mortensen). Sweeney Todd was also nominated for costumes and art direction. And Pirates was nominated! For Make up (against La Vie En Rose and fucking Norbit) and art direction (against Golden Compass and Transformers. Wow! A category where I've seen every nominated movie! Pirates had better win...)

I am very amused that Enchanted has three of the five nominations for best song. I hope "That's How You Know" wins. 'Cause damn that was a fun number.

In real life news, I had my first wedding related nightmare :-O I kept losing my shoes. And they were hideous shoes. I don't know why I was wearing them for my wedding (they were navy blue! With a weird squat heel! WTF?!) I'd find them, and then we'd go somewhere else, and I'd lose them again.

Strangely enough, this is the second dream I've had recently about losing shoes. This just happens to be the only one that was specifically about my wedding shoes.

Oh, and at the ceremony, I was apparently in charge of running my own music? That doesn't make any sense.
