Oy...
So I've had a post percolating in the back of my head for a week or more now about the discussions about Hunger Games going on at Goodreads. Something about a few of the topics just rub me the wrong way and I really want to know why the hell people are obsessing over them.
But this morning there was one that took the prize for inanity.
Quick review of Hunger Games: government chooses 24 kids every year to fight each other to the death. The whole point of the Hunger Games is that there can be only one survivor - and since the book is told in the first person we have a pretty good idea from the outset that the survivor this time around is going to be Katniss.
But there are people in the forums asking why Rue had to die.

Okay, now getting ready to party on at Book Expo!
