Bad news from my home state
GM cutting jobs, getting rid of Pontiac
When I first read the headline I almost had a heart attack, thinking they were getting rid of a whole plant in Pontiac, Michigan. But rather they're getting rid of the Pontiac brand of cars. Sad face. I've owned two cars in my life, and both were Pontiac Sunfires. The first one was a tough little car that lasted forever and hardly gave me any trouble until it unceremoniously DIED on the side of I-75 at three in the morning (with a baby Gopher as my co-pilot). I also felt like a badass for being one of the few people I knew (and the only woman at the time) who could drive a stick shift.
The second one was a piece of shit, but I still have an affinity for the Sunfires. If I ever had to buy another car, I'd definitely start by looking at Sunfires.
Hopefully, however, that won't come to pass. I <3 NY.

Was this before you came to EMU? Because I can, and so can Marisa...
