Boo, House

So I've started watching House again this season. I watched about half of last season, then got bored. I used to love the show, so I thought I'd pick it up again at the start of this season to see if the quality had picked up.

I think part of the reason I got bored was because the show seemed to be sinking into a pattern. There was no more real drama after the gimmick of whittling the cast down to the new team. It was way too formulaic and I just wasn't interested.

This season seemed to be doing a little better, though I was beginning to get real tired of House's angsting over Wilson. House is a spoiled brat and it's not really endearing anymore.

After next week, I don't know if I'll be able to watch the show any more.

Back in one of the earlier seasons, Cameron was worried that she had contracted HIV. She reacted by taking drugs and having random sex. That was Bad, was the moral of the show.

Fast forward to now: the enigmatic 13 has a chronic condition. Apparently it's worse than originally thought (judging by Foreman's ominous statement in the preview). So she's sleeping around with ~gasp~ women! And destroying her life!

Do the writers really have that limited of a scope for female characterization? Does House himself have a monopoly on men destroying their lives (but not really ever having to deal with any consequences)?

Rar. That wasn't terribly coherent, but I don't care. TV frustrates me.
