Fuck you, PETA
I've never liked PETA. Yes, I think animals are treated horribly in the food industry, but treating women with less dignity than they advocate animals should be treated with isn't actually helping society as a whole.
But so far (from my observations), most of their ridiculousness has been restricted to misogynist advertising.
Now PETA wants Ben & Jerry's to use human breast milk rather than cow's milk for ice cream
Because hooking women up to machines is such a better prospect than hooking up cows.
Not to mention: ew. I do not want to be consuming breast milk in my ice cream. I promise you if I ever go to Switzerland I'm not eating at the restaurant of the guy who wants to use 75% breast milk in his food, either.

And don't women produce less milk overall? Doesn't sound reasonable unless you want to install female slavery (oh PETA...)

You're all recoiling in horror and I'm not sure why. I'm looking at this fairly objectively because I don't like milk from any animal and I'm lactose intolerant to boot. But if you will drink cow's milk, from the breasts (or udders) of a cow (which is intended for baby cows, not adult humans...) then why is the idea of drinking the milk of your own species repulsive? If anything, it's more natural than drinking the milk of a totally different species (no other animal drinks the milk of a different animal!).
I'm just opposed to milk in general because I feel its best left where nature intended it, for the nourishment of infants, not grown-ups. Find me another mammal out there that (naturally, not encouraged by humans) drinks milk after infancy. =/
