Anyone have some computer advice for me?
I'm considering picking up a new laptop, to be used exclusively (at least that's what I tell myself now!!) for writing. I feel that my desktop is loaded down with too many distractions, not to mention I get all paranoid that Billy is going to look over my shoulder and read what I'm writing (I'm very defensive of my stuff when it's all fresh and new).
So I need a teeny tiny lapotop - teeny tiny so I can, say, take it to Madison Square Park and write on my lunch break. Back in my freshman year of college I had a full size laptop that I hauled around with me to classes - really, it wasn't all that portable. Most laptops aren't I find.
So I'm thinking of maybe getting a netbook? General opinion online, judging from the Googling I was doing last night, seems to be split on how useful netbooks actually are. Plus, unlike most people purchasing a netbook it seems, I don't actually give a shit about the internet; I want to write (so I gather the 7" screens are out because those end up with teeny tiny keyboards and even my small hands have limits). Anyone have a netbook yet? Should I go for one of them now, or save up my money for months (and months and months) and go for a super light but more full featured laptop like a Macbook Air (which are so sexy but I don't know if I can justify spending that much on a computer right now, lol).
... Really this post is just a timefiller before I go to work. I am getting antsy because I don't have my wedding pictures yet, despite being promised the link would be in my mailbox by yesterday. Argh.
