Con or Bust is a fundraising auction on LJ to fund trips to Wiscon. There are all sorts of crazy cool things being auctioned, from beta reading to professional research to books to cake (mmm...cake...). All the money goes to an excellent cause, and you get some darn nifty stuff out of the equation as well!!!

As of today, Billy and I have been married for one month. Yay us!

And how have I spent today? Cleaning. I've been cleaning almost non-stop since ten, and all I have accomplished is cleaning the kitchen...which actually is an accomplishment because we had dishes a mile high. And I discovered the miracle that is baking soda+water. My stove gets very grimy very fast and absolutely NOTHING works on it...except baking soda, apparently. Take that, crazy expensive cleaners!

But now the celebrations begin - we're heading out to dinner and then possibly a movie (I'm hoping for Duplicity).

Tomorrow: more cleaning, then ginormous author signing at Books of Wonder! Going to head out early to buy lots of books, since most of the authors there I don't actually own any of their books, thanks to being recent library discoveries. Hopefully I can dig up one of my not-already-signed Scott Westerfeld books, too (I think all of Uglies was left at my parents', except for Extras which is here, but I picked it up after it had already been signed when Scott was in Ann Arbor last year. I should have Peeps around here somewhere!).

Anniversary dinner time!
