Today's awkward situation
Another friend is getting married, which means another bachelorette party to attend.
I was the only person there who wasn't either already married or planning a wedding. Seriously, people, how long can you talk about the cost of veils or the trials of sending final numbers to caterers?!
I have to get through this wedding, and then another one in May. I swear to god, no one else is my life is allowed to get married. EVER.

The way my boyfriend and I are looking at it, is we need time to be adults and really get a feel for how the world works as grown ups before we get married. It's (hopefully) inevitable that we will marry, so why hurry?
And yeah, that was my thought, too. I just couldn't/can't understand why people feel the need to rush into anything. We have the time and the opportunity to wait to start our families and pursue more of the things we'd like to accomplish first. Creating more mouths to feed is a wonderful experience from what I've gathered, but I've never seen it as something that should be at the forefront of young people's minds.
But hey, that's me.
